My Black n White copies...posted later than my coloured ones...

Coloured RP 1 and 2!!

First) This is my coloured repeated pattern.I coloured it this way as these colours represent the different races in Singapore as the theme is 'racial hormony'. The red stands for the chinese,the purple for the indians,the blue for the english and the green for malays.The yellow lines that cut across the pattern represents the links that we hav created and the curved line next to the hearts represents the joy we give each other.The orange patterns in the background shows the foundation of our country,interlocking and seperating easily to show how vulnerable Singapore is against out-side influence,like during the racial riots when Singapore just obtained independance. This is why I used these colours,to show how at haromy we are with each other and yet how vulnerable that harmony is.

Second) The pattern in the middle is coloured like an orchid,I used these coloures as it show how at harmoney we are in Singapore.The red and yellow background shows the tradition of Singapore and the pink bowls represent the happiness in the in the country.Thought Singapore is urbanising,we still stick to old traditions as they are inportant in keeping who we are,our identity as a country.This is why I used these coloures,to show our countries steadfast hold on tradition and still advance with the urbanising.
